About the team

Comprising 45 nice colleagues worldwide, our Finance Department operates across two main offices in Utrecht (NL) and Londerzeel (BE). With a strong focus on business excellence and continuous improvement, we’re dedicated to enhancing value across the entire company. As we transition into a unified Finance team, integrating various backgrounds and legacy systems, your expertise will play a pivotal role in shaping our cohesive future

How you’ll make impact

In all aspects, you will be responsible for providing accurate, comprehensive, and timely financial information to Shareholders, the Leadership team, Country Managers, Global Heads and the internal auditor. In this role, you will improve the quality of financial information by ensuring compliance with accounting standards, preparing financial master data and integrating reporting structures in legacy companies.

About the role:

  • Guide and inspire each team member and the entire team to reach their full potential by being a role model as a leader.
  • Ensure consolidated financial information meets high standards of accuracy and compliance, and you will prepare and report a monthly consolidated balance sheet and P&L analysis, collaborating with other Finance departments as needed.
  • Responsible for the dynamic process of preparing the annual accounts for the Certis Belchim, ensuring accountability through statutory consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Participate in the vital project to adopt IFRS-based reporting for both shareholders and internal reporting, participating in the conversion process and ensuring compliance by the end of the fiscal year.
  • Consistently deliver on meeting deadlines for financial reporting and associated tasks, ensuring accountability and smooth operational flow.
  • Maintain effective communication and expectation management, fostering transparent, proactive engagement with stakeholders to ensure expectations are met and timely updates on financial reporting procedures are provided.
  • Drive Excellence in financial reporting by leading and overseeing the financial closing process for Certis Belchim, ensuring the delivery of accurate, comprehensive, and timely financial information.
  • Take charge of ensuring that all financial reporting processes and outcomes adhere strictly to accounting standards, local governance regulations, and internal audit requirements.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by being committed to actively pursuing and implementing strategies for refining the financial reporting process, elevating data accuracy, and maximizing operational efficiency.
  • Be the pillar of reliable financial information by delivering financial and KPI reports that are not just accurate and comprehensive but also submitted promptly, ensuring our operations thrive on timely insights.”
  • Embark on this one-off project to redefine our reporting framework, integrating LucaNet, Word, Excel, and BI tools to enhance efficiency and precision. Your expertise will shape the future of our mid-term objectives.
  • Craft a seamless integrated reporting structure for both legacy companies, enabling streamlined consolidation and elimination postings. Your innovative approach will empower both internal and external stakeholders with clear, consolidated insights.

About you

  • you have a master’s degree in finance, accounting (preferably CPA or similar).
  • working in auditing and consolidation has no secrets for you as you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in this area of expertise.
  • you act as a role model, the (informal) leader of the team.
  • up-to-date knowledge on accounting practice and standards, including IFRS.
  • your strong analytical skills enable you to interpret financial data and to provide actionable insights. You consider data accuracy and master data management as important ingredients for success.
  • as finance professional dealing with prioritising work, meeting deadlines, and working under pressure are completely logical for you.
  • adapting your communication style to different stakeholders is like a second nature for you and you communicate effectively both verbal and in writing in Dutch and English.
  • establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships are your way to connect with your colleagues and achieve common goals.
  • you are a critical thinker and collaborator with a sense of humour and continuous improvement in your DNA.
