About your team

Join our Global Regulatory team in Londerzeel (BE), where you’ll collaborate closely with Global Regulatory, Development, and Supply Chain colleagues under the leadership of the Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Global Business & SDS/Label.

Your team of 11 includes SDS Specialists, Label Specialists, and Country Regulatory Officers covering regions from Latin America to Asia Pacific. While your primary focus will be on Europe, you’ll also contribute to our global expansion efforts.

In this role, you’ll ensure the timely creation, updating, and management of SDSs, maintain EU compliance, and provide crucial support to stakeholders across our supply chain.

About your job

As a key contributor to our team, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely creation, management, and dissemination of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) across the entire Certis Belchim product portfolio. Your role will involve:

  • SDS Management: Developing, harmonizing, and updating SDS to ensure compliance with stringent regulations.
  • Emergency Response: Providing essential information for the Poison Center Notifications (PCN) to enable them to support emergency response efforts.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Leveraging your deep understanding of CLP regulations to identify and address compliance gaps proactively.
  • Data Analysis: Investigating registration dossiers to efficiently compile comprehensive and accurate SDS.
  • Process Improvement: Driving a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing enhancements to departmental processes, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

About you

Are you a highly motivated and detail-oriented worker with a strong foundation in QHSE or a scientific discipline? You will be successful in your role when you have:

  • A solid academic background: A Bachelor’s or University degree in QHSE, Chemistry, or a related field. Alternatively, extensive hands-on experience in a similar role.
  • Deep regulatory expertise: A proven track record in navigating the complexities of REACH, CLP, and SDS regulations. In-depth knowledge of global and EU requirements for Safety Data Sheets is essential.
  • A global mindset: Proficiency in English is a must, as this is our company’s working language. Additional language skills are a valuable asset for interacting with colleagues worldwide.
  • Strong analytical skills: The ability to understand and apply legal requirements for placing chemicals on the market, coupled with a keen eye for detail in maintaining accurate compositions, SDS, and labels.
  • IT proficiency: Experience utilising Microsoft Office Suite and specialised software tools like databases and LISAM to streamline processes.
  • A growth-oriented attitude: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to contribute to ongoing process improvements. Adapting your communication style to different stakeholders is like a second nature for you and you communicate effectively both verbal and in writing in Dutch and English.
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships as they are your way to connect with your colleagues and achieve common goals.
