Through our Growing for the Future programme, we trial integrated pest management (IPM) strategies (combining biorational and conventional products) with leading producers, helping them meet retailer standards and food safety requirements. We also offer biostimulants to support plant growth development and yield under stress conditions, to meet broccoli’s specific needs.

A major crop with minor crop status
In Spain’s Southeast, broccoli is a vital crop, especially in the export-driven fields of Murcia. Yet despite its significance, broccoli is classified as a minor crop, meaning it receives less attention in terms of registered solutions and tailored support. At Certis Belchim, we believe minor crops deserve major commitment.
Putting broccoli at the centre
That’s why we have made broccoli a priority. Our dedicated minor crop strategy ensures growers have access to a wide portfolio of registered products, specifically developed and approved to tackle the unique challenges of broccoli production. From whiteflies, lepidoptera and aphids to Botrytis and Alternaria and weed control, our solutions are designed to protect both yield and quality.

Growers recognise the difference
Growers value this commitment as one grower typically commented:
“They understand our particular challenges, and they’ve built a portfolio of products specifically registered for broccoli. That kind of focus on minor crops isn’t common, and it gives us the tools we need to protect our crops and meet market demands.”
Advice grounded in real conditions
We work directly with growers in their fields, whether they’re part of a cooperative or a private enterprise, through our technical field teams and distribution partners. This close collaboration allows us to understand their needs, adapt protocols, and provide practical, science-based advice.
Our focus is to be close to the grower with a highly technical approach in the field, and to register solutions for minor crops like broccoli—giving them more tools to fight pests and diseases.

Support that goes beyond products
Certis Belchim’s “Down to Earth” approach means staying grounded in what matters most: the grower, the crop, and the land. For broccoli growers, our support is more than just the products to fight pests and diseases. As one grower described:
“What matters most is that Certis Belchim works with us, in our fields. Their technical teams and distribution partners take the time to understand our conditions, tailor advice, and help us adapt protocols to meet retailer and food safety standards. They are always there to support us.”
